We all want our songs to be better. More emotional, more personal, more interesting and maybe even more commercial. If you have a quick look around on the internet you will find many books and websites providing general-purpose songwriting tips and techniques. You will also find services that will analyse your song and give you a score that determines whether it could be a hit. But isn’t what you really want a set of insider tips containing the sort of secrets that the pros use, applied to your own song? How much more useful would it be to hear a comment like “slow down the melodic rhythm in the bridge so that your fast-moving chorus stands out more” rather than “use lots of contrast between song sections” or “your score is 68/100″?
Unless you’re Paul McCartney and can write “Yesterday” in your sleep, songwriting can be very difficult and complex, and to have somebody competent with a fresh pair of ears suggest improvements for your song takes the frustration out of the process and puts the fun back into writing!
This hands-on feedback is exactly what you would get in a co-writing session with a professional songwriter. But maybe you’re just starting out or if you are more experienced, you just haven’t got the right contacts at the moment. Using this service you will get all the benefits of a real-time interaction with a pro writer, but the song remains 100% yours. You just pay a one-time, very reasonable fee and keep all of the royalties forever.
For no extra cost, I will also briefly comment on style, arrangement and production issues as these are so much part of modern songwriting.
For those of you who would like to immerse themselves in the world of songwriting, I also offer this service as part of one-to-one tuition (in London or via Skype or Messenger) or a more cost-effective group course in my London studio.
For any questions you may have, please go the Contact page and get in touch! Everyone who fills out the contact form and tells me a bit about their musical ambitions and/or frustrations will get a free songwriting tip that cannot be found anywhere else on the net! I look forward to hearing about your songwriting issues, hopes and dreams and of course, your music!
